Epoch is an urban sports magazine about the evolution of iconic uniforms, merging history and sports fashion that evokes vibrancy and legacy.
Developing a wordmark was the first step to curating the essential communication of the publication. A mixture of old-style and modern typefaces was made to meet the idea of continuity through history.
Once curating the innate feeling of connection of time, fashion, history, and sports in the wordmark, I started an outline for the design elements in this publication. Sticking to a bold yet nostalgic red with fragmentation and separation to disconnect the viewer, making them yearn for that connection.
